Jubilee Celebrations

Like many children at schools on the UK this week today the Littlesheeps have been celebrating the Diamond Jubilee.

They all wore red, white and blue to school and after an assembly that ran briefly through the reign of Queen Elizabeth the children got to work on their celebratory activities.

They spent the morning decorating cupcakes, making kites, making crowns and pompoms (with the older children working to help the little ones).

Then this afternoon they had a garden party in the school grounds (with a visit from the queen). Time to fly their kites (ticking off one of the things to do from the National Trust list) and a sing-song before each being presented with a special souvenir bookmark.

How did your children celebrate?
